He chose not to choose Seo Taiji and Kids as the topic for the next season because people felt that it was too sensitive a topic and that too many things could go wrong if they messed up.
I was actually surprised reading the comments because I had no idea people didn't want a second season... what?!
1. [+176, -11] To all of the people that are telling him not to do a second season... I think it's important that our country keeps challenging themselves with new seasons whether they succeed or fail. Since this is also a cable channel, there are less restrictions so it might be even more fun. American dramas that do well can get up to five seasons and they're all fun to watch. And just because you don't want a second season doesn't mean you're not going to watch it when it does come out... I'm personally for a second season, whether it does well or not.

i personally a bit afraid at second season idea, since those second season k-dramas failed my expectation... but yeah, true, i enjoy the heckload of seasons from american dramas... kke. the casts don't really matter, as long as they keep the same staffs. i fully trust the casting director!!

Tvn have been doing great this year, and have you guys heard about the new variety show that is soon to be aired on tvn? The cast is lee sugeun, eun jiwon (omg yes!), kim jongmin. The main production crew are also from the old 1n2d. Plus, it's going to be live! No editing whatsoever. Damnnnn I'm so excited. Maybe netizenbuzz can find an article on that as well?

ReplyDeleteNot that it's a big deal to me, but it probably will be to K-netizens....I doubt it will be about DBSK. They're in a tough situation right now. It will make a lot of viewers (and themselves) uncomfortable.

I do not want a second season with the original cast. The first season showed their growth from kids to adults perfectly. The story is wrapped up. Why drag them back out to beat a dead horse? And anyway, the best parts were them as high schoolers.
ReplyDeleteWith a new cast? Maybe as long as they manage to do something new and fresh, while keeping the spirit of the original intact. They're good writers so they could do it.
i dunno whats wrong with Seo taiji and the Kids?!! maybe the part of Taiji's secret marriage(?) if theres a 2nd season, I would watch it because i trust the director and writers theyre amazing, with Queen inhyun's man and reply 1997, TVN got me in their pockets so they can do pretty much what they want and ill watch xD but as the writers said, they would do the second season IF they find a good topic so im okay with what they decide :3
ReplyDelete... after a second thought... dbsk has no rival until bigbang come (sorry, suju and ss501 are'nt on par with them, don't hate me, that's a fact), but still, it's not that intense rivalry since dbsk mostly in japan when bigbang take over korea. i think g.o.d vs shinhwa era is good. y know, g.o.d fans and their classy way with an epic court battle too between fans. lol. and changjo is the coolest fandom ever, hehe. shinhwa can also make cameo as a whole~!!! hahaha.
