As long as artists are under certain agency, they dont have rights to make statements or Sue like this!! Obviously this is KKS deed!! And I'm pretty sure KKS knew he would win the case so he filed it.. Gold digger!! He cares more about money then his own artists!! Eunjung was dismissed on 22nd of August, a day before broadcasting of FF on the spot without legal notice to herself or her agency!! No matter what the reason is or let's say it was because of T-ara's scandal.. FF's crew should have informed Eunjung earlier!! What were they waiting till 22nd?? ReplyDeleteI get why suing would be a good move for CCM (it's a warning to others to not break contracts), but it seems awful for T-ara. It just keeps the bullying controversy fresh in the minds of netizens.
ReplyDeleteTBH I wonder if KKS wants to punish T-ara on some unconscious level. They were his first huge success but he hasn't been able to replicate them. CCM depends on T-ara's success but KKS clearly thinks the girls are lacking. He brought in new members and threatened the old ones, thereby causing a toxic environment. And when that toxic environment bore fruit, he responded to it in the precise wrong way.
Now T-ara are damaged goods, and KKS has the obedience he's always wanted.
With so much bad publicity producers had no choice but to let her go. They also gave her time to leave and told CCM/CEO of the situation, who refuse to acknowledged there was a problem. The one who cause that problem was KKS in the first place, Eunjung was caught in the middle. As far emotional distress is not the issue as CCM/CEO states, but the breach of contract. Trying to confuse the public w/Eunjung to gain public sympathy. Whoa, even I could see that!!!

ReplyDeleteEunjung (or KKS, or CCM, I mean, whatever) is 100% right to sue. Absolutely no question. Make no mistake - unless it's settled out of court, she will win this case very, VERY easily. The Five Fingers producers don't have a legal leg to stand on here.
ReplyDeleteAlso, no matter what you think of this situation, even if you hate Eunjung, T-ara and CCM, Eunjung MUST win this case for the good of all people in the acting profession in Korea. If she loses, it will set a very dangerous precedent where production companies can cancel any contract for anyone on a whim with no legal obligations whatsoever. Of course netizens don't see the bigger picture because they're blinded by their own stupidity and hatred, but then that's normal for them.

ReplyDeleteEunjung wasnt informed, she was terminated on the spot when she first came on the set of filming to practise with her keyboard on 22nd while filming would start a day later on 23rd of August. Dude, she was already on set for her rehearsals so how was she informed a head of time??? If so then she wouldnt have bothered to come for filming,right???
Another bad move from CCM/KKS. Yes, they will win the case because of the breach of contract and they will get their desired compensation money but Eunjung/most likely T-ara's acting career will all be over, worst case is that no PD's will cast T-ara ever again after this lawsuit.

Black mark my ass. It's not a matter of Eunjung wanting to step down, or of bad publicity, it's a matter of a breach of contract. You can't terminate someone's pre-agreed contract with no notice less than 24 hours before they're due to do the work, unless they somehow breached the terms and conditions of that contract. That's the whole reason why contracts exists in the first place, so stuff like that can't happen. What happened to Eunjung is completely unprecedented in the entire Korean entertainment industry.
ReplyDeleteThe amount of money being asked for here is tiny in the grand scheme, a fraction of what she could have reasonably asked for. It's obviously not about the money, CCM are clearly lowballing it to get a better chance of success.
Producers told CCM/CEO of the situation, who refuse to acknowledged there was a problem. Eunjung wasn't inform because CCM/CEO refuse to accept that Eunjung would be fired. Consequent of being a HARD HEAD, you don't get it!!!

So therefore, a scandal this big would affect the outcome what happens to the actress. if the production company remains stubborn and keep her on board, then they could lose the drama itself if all their investors decides to pull out like how all their ads were pulled.... the production company is basically doing their best to maintain the image of the production and the investments needed to maintain the drama
