ReplyDeleteI don't really like their music anymore, but I enjoy watching them on variety shows and stuff. They seem really nice and grounded, despite their status as celebrities. :)
I love SNSD but their music has gone downhill (My favorite song by them is Merry Go Round) so I hope it will kinda be like the old days music.

ReplyDeleteAh, Koreans and their national pride. Funny how people made fun of the name when SM announced their new group name to be 소녀시대 because it sounds so effin dated. It's indeed pretty cool that the name is now a household name, and the logo has mugunghwa and all :D
Jay Park, I love him moooore after SNL. It reminds me why I liked him in the first place lol. But his tattoos aren't my style :/

Which of his tattoo say stupid things? I know all his tattoos except his new tattoo at the back of his palm and not one of his tattoo said anything stupid. It's either an Art of Movement tattoo, something representing his passion of bboying, of music, of his life.
ReplyDeleteIt's not right to say JYP blocked him from getting GDA award because the award is never guaranteed to be Jay's in the first place and JYP has no power over GDA. He/She probably meant Jay's being blocked in attending GDA this year.
ReplyDeleteSomething just doesn't add up. A jwalker called Sidus and they confirmed that Jay is "not scheduled" to go to GDA and no other reason was given. Jay is leading in the fan polls and was in the official list of nominees. He has no schedule on the date of the awards. The only thing left is for GDA to invite him and we're pretty sure he'd gladly come just like last year.
But apparently he's not coming. And it just doesn't add up.
GDA is the only award show since last year to ever gave Jay a chance to be an awardee, or a nominee, or a performer. Pretty sure, this year is not something Jay would pass up just like that. He will not miss this chance for sure. He even "insinuated" something about not being invited to MAMA's this year.
He's not the type to care so much about the award but he definitely appreciates it a lot if people at least recognize his music, his product. Even just to be invited as a performer, Jay would hop on that chance, if that meant he'd be able to showcase his music and talent on that stage.
Even if he was outsold, he still sold really well enough to be on the nominated list. He's the only solo artist, except GD who is technically not a solo, to be nominated and that says a lot. Even if he doesn't win the award, at least he should get invited. By your logic, other artist outside of the top 10 albums shouldn't be in GDA?
Then again, we don't know if he was invited or not; or whatever is going on backstage. But, something just doesn't add up... oh well.
It's really sad that this kind of things happen in the industry. I think that Jay already knew he wasn't going to be invited since they give invitations early for artist to prepare their performance.
