    1. K netizens are generally happier when celebrities skip college because they feel that they are not intellectually smart and got in because of special treatment and end up denying a hardworking student's spot in College...

  5. This is the way many Kman do it but im still going to miss him. I cant wait for his army abs:)

  7. I adore Yoo Seung Ho but I wish he'd do more movies his age, like get roles closer to his age and work with actors his age. He's been doing a lot of mature roles which is great but man, I wish he'd act his age sometimes seeing how he's only 20 something.

  10. I'm not sure about Korea, but you can get the same education in the army as you get in college.

  11. I on the other hand am glad he is not doing idol drama's to get instant 'fame'. It shows that he is serious about his acting career. And in turn his career will last longer and he will have more respect than many actors who are only acting in teen drama's to gain fame.

  13. I am too but I'm sure there is a handful of movies that will be just as great to him. I loved him in GOS but then pretty much after that most of the roles he got were of an older age. He's now working with someone who is over 10 years older than him, nothing wrong with that I just want to see him acting again in a more playful manner, closer to his age. I'm not saying he shouldn't take up the roles he has now, I just wish he'd do more movies that are fun and youthful instead of this serious, calm manner he has.

  14. me too, i agree! i watched "operation proposal" without knowing much about him and i thought it was a pretty good, light-hearted/cute drama, though it was not the best since the plot was kinda lacking. however, i do wish he would do similar dramas every once in a while, it was fitting for his age.

  15. If its abt rom coms than I agree. Every actor should try them.

  17. If he does active duty, he'll be gone only 20 months, maximum. Unless he decides to reenlist. ^_^

Actors take breaks for a couple of years all the time, so he'll be back in a flash!

  18. A lot of men choose to do their military service first before going to college.

  19. SeungHo yaaa this noona is not ready to send you now :((
but good luck and come back soonnnnnn ><

  20. Woah, I cannot even imagine how many good points this will earn him from the citizens of S. Korea. When he comes back from the army, he'll definitely become one of the top actors of the country. Someone no one will hate, like Yoo Jae Suk or Hyun Bin.

  21. Active duty is 21 months, not including the 4 to 5 weeks of basic training, so it's actually slightly more than 22 months.

  22. I love him so much. Wait for your comeback 2 years later :D

  23. Oh.. that's Harry Borrison, isn't it? :S Hmm.. what a pity, but it only takes 22 months.. so take care and come back healthy~ ;A;

  24. he might left his popularity on hold, but i'm sure he'll still do well after army. on the other hand, all those trainees with unforseen debut and rookies who barely noticed by public should just went to army first.

  25. Ah, maybe I was thinking of the Marines then (they have a shorter enlistment period) because I was reading about Hyun Bin.

  26. When did little 찬이 grow up :(

  27. yoochun, but isn't a little unfair? he even had to take couple times the medical check up to be considered apt for the army.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The problem is Yoochun has bad asthma which is why he was being evaluated so many times as to whether he can be active duty or public service yet he continues to smoke. Basically because he is not taking care of his health and actually aggravating his asthma he is getting hate because Knetizens are suspicious he is doing it on purpose to avoid enlistment.

    ReplyDelete
  29. i really doubt that he does it on propose. his asthma was worst in 2004 then it is today;i guess he took good care of his health just he didn't quit it

    ReplyDelete
  30. if his asthma is better now then that is even a bigger strike against him. It seems like as long as you possess all your limbs you are expected to enlist. Think of all the idols who had those car accidents which left them with permanent ailments (Super Junior im looking at you), they don't get a pass so Yoochun definitely won't.
